Estate Planning, and Legal Services

Financial Planning should be seen 'in the round, that is not viewed as a series of separate services, but a continuous range of integrated advice.

It is therefore important that while looking at such issues as school fees, investments, pensions and family protection, attention is also given to estate planning and other often associated areas.

Our services include three principal areas that can make a massive difference to you and your family over the longer term:
Inheritance tax planning

  • Inheritance tax affects a vast number of families each yea and to families who never expected to be liable for 40% tax. The number affected is growing rapidly, largely because the level at which this tax starts has not been increased adequately to reflect rising house prices.
  • On an estate of £500,000, the taxman will take £80,000, £16 in every £100, based on a threshold of £300,000 for 2007/8.
  • Simple planning can help reduce the impact of this, please click here for more information.
